Meet Bible Yogini
Hello, and thank you for visiting my page. My name is Jaclyn Peterson, and my desire is first and foremost to see men, women and children around the world redeemed from sin by the blood of Jesus. Next, I aspire to facilitate emotional healing in community from injustice in its many forms. This is where the proven benefits of restorative yoga and mindfulness come into play, and I endeavor to make it more accessible to those who need it most: victims of all types of abuse, discrimination and racial injustice, the disabled, the impoverished, the incarcerated, communities of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and all marginalized peoples. I am a writer, speaker and Christ-centered certified 200 hour teacher with a specialty in trauma sensitive yoga.
My healing journey began roughly seven years ago when I underwent a difficult life transition. Through prayer, internalizing scripture and practicing self-care, I have learned to heed the call of God and honor myself, being created in His image. The healing process is an ongoing one, and I continue to grow by unlearning false narratives and embracing truth. Throughout this process, I am discovering that I am stronger and more capable than I ever imagined.
The birth of Bible Yogini is the convergence of my passion for the full Gospel message of the saving grace and Lordship of Jesus Christ- founded upon justice and righteousness (Psalm 89:14)- and my mission to see others empowered to live the abundant life Jesus promised us in John 10:10. I'd be honored and delighted for you to join me on this journey.

*All offerings are available in Christ centered or secular format, and in-person or virtually. (Travel fees may apply.)
I offer highly customizable private and small and large group classes, as well as workshops and conference presentations and practices. Depending on client needs, they may be one-time or series events. Sessions typically run for one hour, but this can also be tailored to the client's needs. The focus can be general or theme-based, and Christ centered or secular. For my Christ-centered classes, I incorporate bible-based guided meditation and prayer, along with the gentle yoga stretches and mindfulness practices of my secular offerings. Corporate wellness and trauma recovery programming are also available. My classes are gentle and appropriate for all ages and ranges of mobility; unless of course, you are looking for a more physically rigorous practice! I am also happy to share as a speaker on yogic philosophy generally, as well as on topics such as its implications regarding diversity and inclusivity, or its intersection with the Christian faith.
